Meet Chris Kane
Chris Kane is a seasoned climate tech innovation professional with over a decade of experience, an MBA, and a passion for building new business ventures. Before focusing fully on bringing innovate solutions to market, Chris applied his background in chemical engineering as both a process and new product development engineer. As a consultant, he focuses on accelerating clean tech startups.
Chris has a track record of scaling new technologies and leading complex global projects. As a technology scout at W. L. Gore & Associates, a company which transforms industries with their novel advanced materials solutions, he identified startups with outstanding material innovations, negotiated and lead strategic partnerships, and took collaborative technologies from the lab bench to commercial scale. In each collaboration, Chris worked to translate technological uniqueness into an exciting and sound business case, ensuring only the most promising projects progressed.
A robust network in the greater clean tech ecosystem is one of Chris' greatest assets. He has been a member of the Greentown Labs Industry Leadership Council as well as an expert panelist for the Global Cleantech 100 put together annually by the The Cleantech Group. Today, Chris is a Climatebase Fellow and Third Derivative volunteer mentor.
Chris has champtioned projects across many clean tech sectors requiring hard tech solutions. His diverse set of experiences lends him to helping clients solve a wide variety of problems by providing a holistic perspective which weighs both business and technical considerations.
